Special Mission Vehicles

We are experienced in supporting unique vehicle configurations to meet a highly specialised customer capability requirement and it follows that Special Missions Vehicles is a category called out in addition to EOD, Ambulances and Command & Control vehicle integration taxonomies. We are a frequently the 'partner of choice' for other Primes due to the exceptional level of skilled design, systems engineering and manufacturing across our workforce.

One of the many examples of such specialised vehicles configurations is the MBDA Fire Unit Support Vehicle (FUSV). In support of the Land Ceptor programme, we were contracted to design, manufacture and integrate three mechanical elements:

1. FUSV(A) – Design, development and supply of the interface adaption for the Ceptor Missile flat rack rapid full pack reload system to the transport vehicle
2. FUSV(B) – Consists of a crane for manoeuvring the supporting container systems and ancillary equipment for the Land Ceptor Missile system
3. Rear Mounted Crane (RMC) Installation, which is combined with the FUSV(B) IK to provide an autonomous dismount and single munition reload capability
